This is just straight up common knowledge. Every single one of us knows this. It’s plastered everywhere, from self-help books to TV. What you think you become.
Yet, time and time again we allow our minds to fill up with negative thoughts. Self loathing, pity and all other sorts of asinine feelings that render our whole mental chemistry feeble.
STOP IT RIGHT NOW. Start visualizing your desires as if they are real.
You Are What You repeatedly Think
Fill your mind GRATITUDE. Be thankful for being alive. Be thankful for the ability to be able to do what ever it is you want.
YES I SAID IT. EVERY DAY YOU ARE DOING EXACTLY WHAT IT IS YOU WANT.
You hate your job, it pays poorly and makes you miserable. You still go BECAUSE YOU CHOOSE TO.
Fill your mind with COURAGE. Think of all the moments you were courageous, become aware of your posture. Engage in Alpha Male body language.
Fill your mind with LOVE. Just think of how much you love everything yourself. If you don’t love something about yourself FIX IT. Complaining is for the weak. You’re not weak.
I’m so fat, I hate my tummy rolls and man boobs. Yet you keep drink sugary drinks, eating processed food and sitting on your ass all day. STOP IT WITH THE NONSENSE. It’s your fault that you’re fat. Make a stand. If you want it bad enough you will do everything in your power to make it happen.
NO EXCUSES. It’s time to take control of your life again. Hit the gym, cut out the shitty food. Do whatever it takes, and don’t stop until you get what you want.
Visualize = Vision + Realize
The greatest to ever do anything mastered the power of visualization. They imagined in vivid detail exactly what it is they want to achieve. Without any shred of a doubt in their minds, they achieved exactly what it is they set their minds to.
Ever heard of Jim Carrey and his 10 million dollar check? As a Broke actor, he wrote himself a check for 10 Mil that he kept in his wallet. He’d look at it all the time and visualize himself getting it. Eventually his vision turned into reality.
“I would visualize things coming to me. It would just make me feel better. Visualization works if you work hard. That’s the thing. You can’t just visualize and go eat a sandwich.”
- Arnold Schwarzenegger arguably the most well-known bodybuilder and action movie star of all time used the powerful technique of visualization to achieve all of his dreams.
“When I was very young I visualized myself being and having what it was I wanted. Mentally I never had any doubts about it. The mind is really so incredible. Before I won my first Mr. Universe title, I walked around the tournament like I owned it. The title was already mine. I had won it so many times in my mind that there was no doubt I would win it. Then when I moved on to the movies, the same thing. I visualized myself being a famous actor and earning big money. I could feel and taste success. I just knew it would all happen.”
With countless examples of masters of their craft using visualization to help them get to where they are; there is NO REASON for you not to be applying the same principle to your life and goals.
Day in, Day out I visualize myself having the type of body that I want. I think of it like it’s already happened. I imagine how wonderful it makes me feel, I think of every single rep I put up in the gym,the sweat dripping down my body from the hard warm. The feel of the iron barbels against my bare hands, I try to feel every contraction in my muscle as I perform specific exercises.
I’m not where I envision myself to be yet in terms of physique and strength, but you can be damn sure that every single day I’m getting closer and closer. I will get there. In my mind I’m already there, my body just has to catch up.
