People are too sensitive nowadays. Quiet frankly… It bothers me.

Recently I was chatting with a friend who’s opening up a fashion brand. She had big goals of taking her brand to the next level. She told a couple of her friends and family about it. They all laughed in her face. Who do you think you are Versace? That got her real depressed to the point she wanted to quit. But she didn’t. Today’s post flirts with this topic. Living life in full Mehh.

Yes, Keep Complimenting Me

Compliments feel amazing. Especially coming from people you really respect. Ever been having a bad day, then out of the blue a random girls comes up and tell you how extremely manly you look. And if she didn’t have a boyfriend, she’d be all over you.

As soon as she’s done saying that to you, you’re going to feel like you won a million bucks. You’re going to feel rejuvenated. What bad day? This is the greatest day of your life. What can’t you do.

You might think that’s a good thing to feel oh so good after getting a compliment. I used to think the same thing so I don’t blame you one bit.

The thing with letting compliments boost your moral and energy so much is that it’s not real. It comes from an outside source you have no control over. Thus you cannot rely on it at all.

It’s as feeble as the wind. It’s similar to boats relying on only the wind to reach their destination. They are stranded in the ocean when there is no wind.

When you get a compliment no matter how good or fantastic. Say thanks and move on. Don’t dwell on it. Don’t let it affect your mood. It’s just an opinion of another person. In the grand scheme of things, it’s like a grain of sand at the beach.

Don’t rely on compliments to boost your mood.

That being said, there is nothing wrong with giving compliments. If you see something you like, say it.

All I’m saying is don’t let compliments dictate your mood. Cause if you do, and the day they stop coming, you’re fucked. Depression will kick you hard.

Avoid that happening to you by being mehh with compliments. If you get them cool, if you don’t that’s also cool. It is what is it.

No, Stop Criticizing Me

The graveyard is full of people who quit on their dreams because they got criticized and couldn’t handle it. I don’t blame the people that criticized them, I blame the quitters. People are always going to talk shit. That’s what people do. It’s been going on before you were alive. And it will be here long after you’re gone.

Your best friends will criticize you, your lovers will criticize you, your family will criticize you. Heck, even random strangers on the internet will criticize you. they will shit on your dreams. They will make fun of your goals and ambitions.

You’re fat and you’re talking about going to the gym and how ripped you’re going to be. People will laugh straight in your face. And these are people you love and care about.

They will laugh in your fucking face when you tell them how you want to improve. Don’t blame them for that. Humans will do human things.

You’re the one who needs to change. First off, don’t tell no one your goals. Don’t care if it’s your best friend. Don’t care if it’s your wife, girlfriend or even siblings. Keep that shit a secret. Go out and do the work. Do the grueling work to make your dreams a reality. Only when you’re actively working towards your goals and you are seeing some progress will the criticism not matter.

Don’t be the person that talks about doing something but never does it. Be the person that does shit without saying a word about it. Move like a ninja. Take life by the throat and squeeze until it gives you everything you want.

Criticism will always come. Be mehh to criticism. They say you can’t make it. Cool, watch me. They say you’re not good enough, cool keep watching. They say your dreams are unrealistic, ha, stay tuned.

Be like a mountain. Nothing can move you but the divine hands of god. Compliments don’t move you, criticism don’t phase you. Through whatever elements get thrown at you, mehh.

You’re untouchable. You’re on a different level. If you want to step out of the land of average and into the world of extraordinary, you’re going to have to do things the extraordinary do.

The extraordinary don’t get phased by criticism. They know who they are, so what you say has no effect on them. The extraordinary don’t get phased by praise. They know who they are, so what you say has no effect on them.

It’s time for you to take full control of your life. Blaming outside circumstances or people for the state of your life is a copout on your part.

Compliments are mehh, criticism is mehh. They all do not matter. It matters how you feel about it. Give a compliment to someone with low confidence and they don’t even believe you.

Focus on the inside and let the outside be the outside.

Until next time
Your mehh friend
