Dear friend,
I’m sitting here on my desk. Brain’s completely finished. Been up since 5 am. I’m mentally fatigued but I’m writing an article a day for 30 days so here’s one you’ll enjoy.
The days of having jobs has been dead for a long time now. No more going to college to study for a high paying job and workin until retirement. Those days are gone. Gone faster than a girl who found out you’re packing 2 inches on top of having a wallet emptier than the testes of a steroid user. Ouch! The only way to survive this current economy is to develop skills that pay the bills.
Can’t Rely On Anyone To Save You
Nobody is coming to save you. Nobody is coming to save you from your dead end job. Nobody is coming to save you from the life you lead. Nobody is coming to save you from the hole you find yourself in. The responsibility lies in your own hands. Being alive in this current era where the internet contains a wealth of information accessible through your finger tips. If you haven’t put in the effort to develop any skills. That’s all on you.
The only way to save yourself from slavery is to develop skills that pay the bills. Learn how to do things that machines cannot do. Machines are going to be taking over everything soon. So if your job can be done by a machine. You are in grave danger. It is imperative you develop skills as soon as possible. Your survival depends on it.
Look at the McDonalds workers. Fighting to have their minimum wage increases. Yet, the amount of self serve kiosks increased in stores. No more need to hire many people, just install more machines where people can be take care of themselves.
Keep fighting for an increase to minimum wage. Don’t spend that fighting time in learning a few skills that can pay the bills.
What Are Skills That Pay The Bills
The simplest answer for what are skills that pay the bills is: very creative work. Cooking is a skill that pays the bill. You could never program a robot to cook at the level of a human and come up with recipes while innovating on the spot.
All skills contained within the arts such as music, drawing, painting, knitting, sewing, video, writing, photography are skills that pay the bills. These are not skills that just anyone can do. It takes a lot of time and effort to be able to call yourself a master in one of these art forms.
Coding is a skill that pays the bills. I know so many self thought coders with no university degree making plenty of cheese because they took the time and effort to get really good at something people will need.
The different between skills that pay the bills and a job is with skills, you are actually doing something that not a lot of people can do or else it wouldn’t be valuable and sought after.
With skills, you can be a one man army who relies on no boss. Work when you want, with who you want and charge as much as you want.
It’s not easy, but what’s the alternative? Work a shitty job you hate. Having to prostrate yourself to get a pay rise or get two weeks vacation. What type of life is that. Aim higher. You can achieve all that and more by developing skills that pay the bills.
Skills Stacking
Now that you’ve understood how important it is to learn skills as soon as possible. There’s another level to that. It’s called skills stacking.
Learning one skill until you’re good at it, then learning another skills, becoming good at it and keeping the cycle going.
Take my case for example. These are the skills I’ve stacked on top of each other so far:
Web development, Python, Photography, Social Media Marketing, Writing, Public Speaking
Those skills have taken me years and an insane amount of hours to be able to be proficient in them.
Don’t get greedy when skill stacking. Become proficient at one skill first before moving on the the next one. And within no time, you’d have to skills to perform lots of different things with ease.
Stack skills you’re interested in so it makes the learning process more enjoyable. No reason for doing anything because money is involved.
People with skills are who run the world. They’re the ones actually living an enjoyable life.
They know that no matter where you put them in the world, they will find a way to make something happen.
jobs are dead. Get Skills that pay the bills.
Until Next time
Your man Abdoulaye
P.S I’m so exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open. And my brain is not working at all right now. Hope you found this article useful.
